A word from cellist Sam Magill who resides now in Greensboro, NC. Now we know why he moved there ;-)

On Wednesday I was taken on a tour of the amazing Cello Music Collection at the Jackson Library at UNC-Greensboro, the LARGEST CELLO MUSIC LIBRARY IN THE WORLD. Curator Stacey Krim couldn't have been kinder or more knowledgeable, and took about an hour out of her workday to show it to me!

And FINALLY, after 30 fruitless years of searching, I found the long lost Volume THREE of La Technique du Violoncelle by Paul Bazelaire! But upon attempting to play them I right away realized why the 10 Transcendental Etudes were withdrawn. They are utterly impossible to play. They are probably really good for one's technique, but I would have to be very careful while learning them as they are most likely the cause of instant carpal tunnel! If any cellists want a copy, I will gladly send you one.
