2016 New Year's Day Concert with THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOISTS --- all photos by Carl Weese

"... And with no further ado..." a record audience of 300+ music lovers welcome THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOISTS.

                                                                                   Here we go:

Jonathan Allan, tympani,  Andrew Garcia, trumpet,  Nathan Mills, oboe and Douglas Myers, trumpet.
Douglas is the founder of THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOISTS and wrote all the arrangements for tonight's performance.

The string section with well known faces from many performances in recent years, too: Vincent Lionti, viola,  premiere in Washington by David Calhoun, cello,  Song-A Cho, first violin and Derek Ratzenboeck, violin,  Terence Flanagan, keyboard continuo and organ.

A well loved feature of the concerts are the brief introduction of each music piece by one of the musicians. Here we have a closer look at Douglas' corno da caccia or piccolo French horn.

The next generation of music lovers - please come again !

Nathan Mills' fabulous performance of Alessandro Marcello's Adagio from Oboe Concerto in D minor - one of the many highlights on the first day of 2016!

                  Encore! Bravo! Encore! Encore!

                      THE NEW BAROQUE SOLOIST

and now it is on to the party

Aah - dessert! Cookies from The Pantry - thank you Michael!

Happy New Year!
