Highlights from Concert #1 as seen by Greg Davis

Indeed - the sun briefly 'highlighted' some musicians of The New Baroque Soloist.

Here is Elliot Wallace with his gleaming tympani.

The discovery of the night was the exiting playing of oboist Kemp Jernigan.

Ben Woodward ready to rock the organ and audience with his powerful play of Bach's famous Toccata and Fugue.

The string section of today's concert with Derek Ratzenboeck (violin) ,Vincent Lionti (viola) and first time visitor to Washington Clarice Jensen playing the violoncello.

Clarice had also a well received soloist performance with her favored piece from Bach's Prelude from the Fifth Suite for Violoncello Alone.

A special feature of The New Baroque Soloists is the trumpet and horn section. Andrew Garcia introduces the last performance of the day, a Sinfonia for trumpets, oboe, strings and basso continue from Bach. Only the best are invited to be the solo trumpet of the West Point Military Academy and
he is the one!
