End of season concert 8/21/2015 and now it is party time till December!

Board Member Waltraud Tammen welcomes the audience.

All pictures by Carl Weese.

Greg Davis was busy with recording the performance - a big THANK YOU to both of them! Here you can find all of Greg's shots from previous concerts and much more.

Welcome back Terence Flanagan, one of the country's leading organists!

Derek Ratzenboeck, violin, has played throughout the 2015 Summer Festival. Cellist Mihai Marica played at last year's Summer Festival - glad you were able to make it back to Washington.

Douglas Myers, founder of The New Baroque Soloists and WFM's Music Director gave a great performance as horn soloist playing one of his beloved Quantz discoveries. Another splendid play
by oboists Kemp Jernigan!

Derek Ratzenboeck amazed the audience with Bach's Sonata No.2 for Violin alone

Cellist Mihai Marica introduced the last performance for the day - Handel's Sinfonia for Trumpet, Oboe, Violin and Basso continuo.

NOW ON TO THE PARTY AT ROBINSON'S MAGICAL BRUSH HILL GARDENS!

Yes - this luscious garden is in Washington, CT in climate zone 5b :) - congrats to Barbara Paul Robinson. All structures were created by in-house engineer Charlie Robinson - who says that bankers are not builders ;-)

Party guests could not believe how well connected Barbara is with the weather gods. Anyhow - the crowd loved her gardens and the party!

Two artists discussing the next show? Barbara von Schreiber of Washington Art Association fame and Gerald Incandela, one of three guests of tonight's party who made the Most Influential People in Litchfield County list last year, he just had a very successful show at the Five Points Gallery in Torrington. Besides that he designed the WFM logo and helped to develop our 'corporate' image.
Family picture: Georgianna Middlebrook (selected last year as one of the 50 most influential people in Litchfield County by TownVibe and Leslie Middlebrook-Moore in the background, wearing that chic jacket. Blue was one of the in-colors that evening.

Bob McWilliam is a big supporter of choral music, here in talks with violinist Derek Ratzenboeck.

Romanian born cellist Mihai Marica meets Stephanie Fenwick, who has traveled extensively in Russia.

Thank you Carlos Canal Jr. for your gracious toast to WFM. Here he congratulates Derek on his splendid performance.

Watch out - three board members are a crowd! Douglas Myers, Charlie Robinson, Hermann Tammen. Too much fun there!

A short address by Hermann Tammen, President of WFM. Main message: THANK YOU ALL for another successful season. Record crowds of concertgoers from near and far enjoyed four wonderful performances throughout the 2015 WFM Summer Concert Festival with The New Baroque Soloists.

What is being discussed here? Could it be that WFM will have a real harpsichord next season? Names withheld to protect involved parties but ex-bankers like to do deals all the time. Stay tuned!

Is it true that Barbara controls the weather?

Noted landscape designer Wesley Rouse quips "Of cause - it is true - today is the final proof." Next to him are Marty Rook of New Preston Kitchen Goods (yes - he is on that famous Top 50 list, too) and Richard Wallgren. Looking for a pied-à-terre in the City - Richard has one left just for you at 432 Park Ave  ;-)
